to all who have contributed to the success of the Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
over the years. We could not consistently provide the highest level of Emergency Care without your continued generous support.
As a 501(c) non-profit organization, operated wholly by volunteers, the Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
relies almost exclusively on individual donations and fundraisers to provide emergency medical care to our community. While we all understand the current state of the economy, the Squad could not continue to provide these necessary services without your generous support. While no one can predict when they may need our services, it is a comfort to know we will be there for you and your loved ones if that need should ever arise.
Without interruption since 1941, the Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
has been the primary provider of emergency medical care to the Boro of Far Hills and Township of Bedminster; as well as those passing through our area. We respond to your home, place of employment, or accident scene and are on location within minutes of your 911 call. In 2009, we responded to 795 calls, offering basic life support, emergency medical care, and ambulance transportation to area hospitals.
2010 in particular, your donation is especially crucial:

After 13 years of service and approximately 72,000 miles, our ambulance, “29-52,” is in desperate need of replacement.

New Jersey is no longer able to support the EMT Training Fund. We must now undertake the expense of continued EMT training to maintain our licenses.

In 2009 we also obtained a license to carry Epi-pens at considerable expense.

Please note: Somerset Medical Center will continue to provide ambulance coverage weekdays between the hours of 6am and 6pm. However, the Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
maintains oversight of the care they provide for our community. Although Somerset Medical Center requires payment for their services, there is no financial association between Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
and Somerset Medical Center. All services provided by the volunteers of Far Hills – Bedminster First Aid Squad
remain free of charge.
